Welcome to StrangeLife Collections

StrangeLife Collections is a personal hobby inspired by an anonymous writer, pen named The Scribe, in efforts to document her life's strange but true stories inspired by adoption and life struggle, created to shed light on identity issues under-represented in the 21st century. This is an underground hub born from the rough-and-tumble back in 2009, where integrative this personal media illuminate the offbeat, painful and enlightening struggles one anti-heroine endures, to turn the negative into a positive, giving hope and meaning to even a troubled life.

This rare collection symbolizes the dawning of a new day, featuring fierce indie media that focuses on shaping one's dark into light, turning the silver lining to gold, inspired by the song, "Silver Lining" by Rilo Kiley. Here you will find media shed from a true adopted life, ranging from zines, gifts, writing, photos and videos. They show current adopted issues like identity conflicts and keeping the faith.

Let it be said, that The Scribe is a real life antiheroine, a slightly afflicted yet whimsical writer now highlighting her first self-published book, "My Magnetic Compass," based on true events back in earlier years.
Following this self-published book, more journeys commence: The Scribe embarks on a perilous journey into the Philippines to meet her birth mother in 2012, and from there, she goes back to the U.S., takes a train to a big city and uses even more indie media to find herself as she heals from her strange life, all poured into a possible new book in the future. Following this will be a screenplay adaptation, inspired by films directed by Wes Anderson, and hopefully a strange movie will develop in the future.

Workshops happen on a monthly basis somewhere in the United States to encourage community ties and involvement. Keep in touch with the happenings if you can. StrangeLife Collections thanks you for your participation that you can do. Your actions matter, like watching the videos, reading the media, attending affiliated efforts, donating, buying gifts for others or becoming a friend on Facebook.
